“Strivers achieve what dreamers believe” is more than a motto for Pastor JaMichael D. Jordan, Sr.—it’s the conviction that drives his leadership and mission to empower generations. A visionary communicator and servant-leader, he is known for inspiring purpose, cultivating growth, and building strong community connections.
For over a decade, he has faithfully served at Mt. Canaan, most notably as Youth & Young Adult Pastor, where he has mentored and developed the next generation with clarity, compassion, and courage.
Prior to full-time ministry, JaMichael served as Program Director for Stop the Madness National, Inc., advocating for at-risk youth and families while working closely with Chattanooga and Hamilton County Schools in leadership development and conflict resolution.
He is a graduate of the University of Memphis and holds a Certification in Pastoral Leadership from Tennessee Temple University. He is also the author of Decoded: Discovering the Mystery That Is You, a book focused on helping individuals find purpose and spiritual clarity.
Pastor JaMichael has served in advisory and consulting roles with organizations such as Glass House Collective and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Anchored by faith and family, he is supported by his wife, Amanda, and their three sons, Micah, Nason, and Asa. Pastor JaMichael is committed to empowering people, strengthening communities, and leaving a lasting impact for generations to come.

Ternae “TJ” Jordan, Jr. serves as Co-Pastor of Mt. Canaan Church, helping lead the ministry into its next season while continuing a rich legacy. Since 2013, he has played a key role in teaching, leadership development, and cultivating a culture of growth and impact.
A Chattanooga native, Pastor TJ is a dynamic communicator and transformational leader passionate about helping people discover their story, uncover its message, and walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
He holds a degree in Telecommunications from Ball State University, along with certifications in Music Engineering and Pro Tools. Before ministry, he worked in the music industry with artists such as Patti LaBelle, CeCe Winans, and Donnie McClurkin.
He is the founder of Story to Message and Steward AI Consulting, where he helps individuals and organizations turn stories into impact and integrate innovation with purpose.
An author, speaker, and creative, Pastor TJ is committed to helping people grow spiritually, live with clarity, and turn their story into a message that creates lasting impact.
He is devoted to his wife, Demetria, and their daughter, Deanna.
